Diverting from his normal melancholic writing style, Evans set out to write goodbye as a pure song of joy about his new love.
“I would usually write as a means of therapy, whenever I felt down, so to put pen to paper when I was feeling purely happy was new for me and I loved the result,” Darren says. After writing the opening verse and chorus he sent a voice memo to the new lady in his life, and the songs’ muse, Shereen Davies who then wrote the second verse and harmonies. What has resulted is a heartfelt message between the pair. During live performances, the chemistry between the couple is undeniable and effortless!
The song was recorded in Backlight Studios, Naxxar, Malta and overseen by producer Conrad Dimech who says of the song “It was such a pleasure to work on, I just love the way it builds and the voices compliment each other.”
